Electropin offers four retention feature options: Star, Tabs/Spline, Inscribed Square, and Flat. The star feature can expand the pin diameter by up to 50% greater than the original wire diameter, providing strong press-fit retention in metal or plastic substrates and effective anti-rotation performance in circuit board applications.

Electropin's male jumper pins support three primary mounting methods: through-hole PCB mounting, press-fit insertion into metal parts, and post-insertion into molded plastic housings. The appropriate retention feature is selected based on the substrate material and the required pull-out and anti-rotation strength for the application.

Electropin can begin manufacturing and deliver a first batch of cold-formed pins in as little as two weeks when raw materials are available.
