Unlike machined parts that often require leaded brass, Electropin's cold-forming process works with lead-free brass and stainless steel, making regulatory compliance straightforward for OEMs and electronics manufacturers.

When raw materials are available, Electropin can begin manufacturing and deliver a first batch of cold-formed connector pins in as little as two weeks. Subsequent batches are then delivered on a customer-specified timeline, and production volume can be scaled up significantly if demand increases.

Electropin offers four retention feature options: star, tabs/spline, inscribed square, and flat. The star feature is particularly versatile — it can achieve a diameter up to 50% greater than the original wire diameter, providing strong anti-rotation and retention strength for press-fit and post-insertion applications.

Electropin's connector pins support three primary mounting methods: press-fit into metal, through-hole PCB mounting, and post-insertion into molded plastic parts. Select products, such as grooved and hinge pins, also support high-speed automation applications where pins must slide down tracks without requiring orientation.
