A PCB jumper is a small conductive pin or shunt that bridges two exposed header posts on a circuit board to complete a specific electrical path. It allows designers to offer configurable options — such as baud rate selection or boot mode — without redesigning the board. Jumpers are removable, making reconfiguration fast and tool-free.

PCB pins include through-hole connector pins, press-fit pins, solid contact pins, barbed pins, grooved pins, knurled pins, dowel pins, hinge pins, and gauge stop pins.
