Push-in electrical connectors work by inserting a stripped wire end directly into the connector housing until the retention feature — such as a star, spline, or barbed profile — locks it in place. No tools are typically required. Electropin's cold-formed pins are engineered with precise retention geometries to ensure reliable, vibration-resistant push-in engagement in automotive, PCB, and industrial assemblies.

Electropin manufactures contact pins from lead-free brass and stainless steel. Both material options are fully REACH and RoHS compliant, eliminating regulatory concerns without requiring leaded brass — a common requirement for traditionally machined connector pins.

Electropin offers four retention feature options: Star, Tabs/Spline, Inscribed Square, and Flat. These features provide anti-rotation and high pull-out retention strength for press-fit into metal, through-hole PCB mounting, and post-insertion into molded plastic applications.

Electropin can begin manufacturing and deliver the first batch of custom cold-formed pins in as little as two weeks from order confirmation, provided raw materials are available. Subsequent production batches are delivered on a customer-specified timeline, and production volumes can be scaled dramatically as demand changes.
